Tuyere Loss | WESP Explosion | Heat Exchanger Tube Cracks | Shell Hot Spots

Tuyere Loss

Tuyeres are located in the refractory dome below the sand bed of a fluidized bed sewage sludge incinerator. During operation if not properly secured, they can vibrate loose and open a hole for sand to leave the bed and enter the windbox. CBE can inspect the damage and evaluate how to re-seat the damaged tuyere or redesign it to better hold it in place. We can also specify the material that is appropriate for a replacement tuyere and outline the replacement procedure. Alternatively, CBE can offer a retrofit redesign that removes the individual tuyeres and utilizes a pipe tuyere air distribution system which eliminates the frequent maintenance associated with tuyere loss.
